Correlation between the DNJ content and genetic diversity of SSR markers of 36 mulberry (Morus spp.) germplasm resources

Abstract 1-deoxynojirimycin (DNJ) has certain medicinal value in lowering blood sugar, fat, antiviral and anti-tumor, Mulberry is one of known species with the highest DNJ content. To take full advantage benefits mulberry, internal relationships genetic diversity SSR markers content was assessed this study, so as to provide basis for exploitation breeding mulberry resources high The results showed that leaves 36 germplasm varied significantly, mean 1.2794 mg/g, amplitude 1.03–1.61 g/g, coefficient variation 0.1276. Polymorphism found by 5 pairs primers from resources, a total 32 genotypes were deteced. allele number 3.8, heterozygosity 0.62, polymorphic information 0.61. Cluster analysis based on distance tested could be divided into 3 class, they 2 clades. Comparison two cluster analyses displayed same group similar. above revealed similar leaf.
